What We're Learning Alongside our Clients

Hi Colleagues and Friends,
Welcome to the latest edition of Volution Viewpoint, our quarterly newsletter where we share reflections, resources, and lessons from our work alongside leaders across the social sector.
Every engagement teaches us something. Across our work with nonprofit CEOs, family foundations, boards, funders, educators, and cross-sector partners, we are seeing a common theme: organizations that invest in clarity, alignment, and intentional leadership are better positioned to navigate complexity and create enduring impact.
This edition reflects some of the patterns we are seeing in the field. We explore how simple, continuous performance management can strengthen teams; why mergers and strategic partnerships should be considered proactively, not only in moments of crisis; how families are approaching philanthropy with purpose, governance, and generational engagement in mind; and what cross-sector collaboration can teach us about turning urgent challenges into longer-term systems change.
At Volution Advisors, we partner with organizations, leaders, and philanthropists to support meaningful change in communities and systems. Our name comes from evolution and revolution. We believe in the power of steady progress over time, and in the courage to pursue transformation when the moment calls for it.
Our hope is that Volution Viewpoint offers more than updates on our work. We hope it sparks ideas, challenges assumptions, and provides practical insights you can adapt within your own organization.
As always, thank you for the opportunity to learn with you and from you.
With gratitude,

Jacquelyn Davis
